We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Store Keeper / Inventory Controller to manage all store and inventory operations within a fabrication or engineering workshop environment. The role involveshandling materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring accurate stock control,maintaining documentation, and supporting procurement and operations teams.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, and coordination with internal departments to ensure smooth material flow and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Issue,receive, monitor, and safely store raw materials, hand tools, power tools,and equipment.
- Maintaincomplete and accurate inventory records for all materials and tools.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of all stock items.
- Monitortool conditions and arrange repair or replacement of damaged items.
- Receiveincoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspectgoods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
- Ensure accurate entry of all incoming and outgoing materials into inventorysystems.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform regular stock checks.
- Identifyshortages or excess stock and take corrective actions.
- Reordermaterials and supplies as required to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensureavailability of materials required for ongoing service and workshopoperations.
- Maintain accurate records of all inventory movements, including dates, quantities,and locations.
- Recordissuance of tools and materials to technicians using proper requisitionsystems.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and stock reconciliations.
- Assistin physical inventory counts and reporting.
- Coordinate with procurement and purchasing departments for timely supply of materials.
- Ensuresmooth communication between store, operations, and service teams.
- Managetool inventories assigned to technicians and workshop staff.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintaincleanliness and orderliness of store and storage areas.
- Followall company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Performany additional tasks as assigned based on operational requirements.
- Minimum2–5 years of experience in store keeping, warehouse, or inventory controlroles.
- Experience in engineering, fabrication, workshop, or industrial environmentspreferred.
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems and stock control procedures.
- Abilityto maintain accurate records and handle documentation.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Physically fit and able to manage warehouse/store activities.
- Basic knowledge of safety and material handling procedures.
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems.
- Knowledge of tool tracking systems and warehouse best practices.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
