Job Description
The Storekeeper is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring proper storage, and controlling the issuance of equipment, spare parts, and consumables on an offshore jackup rig.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials (drilling tools, spare parts, chemicals, PPE, etc.).
- Maintain accurate stock levels using inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or manual logs).
- Organize storage areas for easy access, safety, and compliance (e.g., hazardous materials segregation).
- Distribute equipment and supplies to rig personnel as per requests.
- Ensure proper documentation (GRN, MRN, stock reports) for audits and compliance.
- Track critical spares (BOP parts, drilling tools) to prevent operational delays.
- Follow Qatar Energy (QP) and contractor-specific HSE policies.
- Ensure proper labeling, handling, and storage of hazardous materials (H2S, chemicals).
- Conduct monthly stock audits and report discrepancies.
- Liaise with logistics coordinators (onshore) for timely resupply.
- Prepare daily/weekly stock reports for rig management.
- Assist in emergency requisitions (urgent spare parts, medical supplies).
- Minimum 2+ years as a storekeeper (offshore/oil & gas preferred).
- Familiarity with drilling rig equipment (tubulars, BOP parts, mechanical spares).
