DHL Global Forwarding – Warehouse Assistant

Location:

Doha, Qatar

Build and develop trade lane consolidations for South African export traffic, engage with the Global DGF network to promote and develop the Gateway for neighboring countries and local coastal branches, coordinate day‑to‑day operations within the Airfreight Gateway, and assist & support the ACC Manager in rate & capacity procurement as required.

• Receiving:
  Offload incoming material, segregate, palletize, and verify correct batch number & expiry.
• Inspect shipments for damages, shortages, or defects, and notify the Supervisor of findings.
• Accurately receive inbound based on RTS using RF device.
• Perform put‑away for inbounds once received and final put‑away upon final release.
• Responsible for proper usage and preventive maintenance of MHEs.
• Update promptly upon task completion and report issues to Team Leader.
• Verify returns and forward details to CSR for documentation.
• Material Handling:
  Read shipment orders and verify the material matches the work order.
• Notify Supervisor of problems with orders.
• Adjust shipment orders as required for short, expiry, and batch variance according to the shipment order.
• Check inventory to verify availability of needed stock and maintain product stock in work area.
• Perform pallet stretch wrapping and other value added services.
• Picking & Shipping:
  Pick orders according to pick ticket, QC and pack shipments as per customer requirements.
• Package and ship in accordance with packaging guidelines (temperature sensitive products).
• Ensure optimum truck space utilization in lieu of all safety measures.
• Check with Team Leader for new tasks.
• Packaging & Dispatch:
  Prepare and pack orders for dispatch according to the shipment order and customer requirements.
• Check labels to verify the quantity is correct.
• Notify Supervisor of shortages.
• Segregate orders based on delivery locations.
• Read shipment orders and verify the material picked for packaging matches the shipment order.
• Notify Supervisor if any problems are encountered.
• Follow special instructions for temperature sensitive product packaging.
• Monitor packing material supplies and notify Supervisor when materials reach restocking point.

• Education Level: High school diploma or general education.
• Experience Level: Less than 2 years.
