Learning Support Assistant, Independent Living Skills. Term Time

Overview

Within the Independent Living programme areas, the successful person will need to be enthusiastic and flexible to support the learners within a range of life and work skills such as e.g. cooking, everyday living skills, gardening, literacy, numeracy, IT, citizenship, personal and social development and work skills at Pre Entry – level 1.

There may be a need to support learners with practical and physical difficulties during breaks times if and when required.

• To work alongside lecturers and instructors in the classroom.
• To help students get the most out of their learning.

£15.97 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

There will be an entitlement to pro‑ratio paid holiday in each academic year (1st September to 31st August), which includes pro‑ratio entitlement of 8 Bank and Public Holidays normally observed in Wales and a pro‑ratio entitlement of up to 5 efficiency days (please note this can change annually). Annual leave is derived from a pro‑ratio full‑time equivalent entitlement of 28 days which is included in the hourly rate paid.

Up to 30 hours per week (to be confirmed).

Work days – Monday to Thursday – the work pattern to be agreed dependant on availability.

31 weeks – Hours during the College Term
