Overview

Cosmo 1:1 (formerly Class Up) is an online learning platform that connects K‑12 students in the US, Canada, and Asia with tutors from top universities and colleges for personalized lessons. As an English Second Language (ESL) Teacher you will teach students based in Singapore and Hong Kong using the Cosmo curriculum. The role is based in Cosmo, Ards And North Down, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.

• Teach 50‑minute, one‑on‑one lessons to ESL students.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Submit class feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and maintain a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3 years of experience teaching grades K‑12 in ELA.
• Experience with K‑12 ELA standards and curriculum.
• Experience teaching ESL learners.
• Teaching qualification preferred but not required.
• Fast and reliable internet connection and access to a Windows or Mac PC with a minimum CPU of 6000.
• Able to commit to a minimum of 6 months of teaching with Cosmo 1:1.
• Available between 8 – 2 PM GMT Monday–Friday or 5 AM – 2 PM GMT weekends.
• Minimum 20 hours of availability per week.
• Access to a private and quiet location.
• Currently located in the UK.

• Reliable, arriving on time and prepared.

The pay rate is $20 USD per class plus additional incentives.
