Clark Wood, accountancy practice recruitment specialists, are currently working with a highly progressive independent firm of chartered accountants in Doncaster who are looking to expand their team with the addition of a bright and ambitious Accounts Senior.

As an Accounts Senior, you will undertake a varied role that includes the preparation of year-end accounts and the associated tax computations for a diverse range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships. You will also oversee bookkeeping work for clients and the preparation and submission of periodic VAT returns.

This role is ideal for an individual with significant experience in practice, looking to advance their career within an established and prospering firm who actively seek to progress their staff.

The successful candidate will likely have completed their ACA or ACCA qualification or be in the advanced stages of their studies. Individuals who are AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience will also be considered equally.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Preparation of complex personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Overseeing bookkeeping work for clients
Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
Liaising with clients to resolve queries as necessary
Supporting and assisting junior members of staff

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified (or Part Qualified), AAT Qualified or QBE
Significant practice experience essential
