Main purpose of the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Financial Accountant to join us, based from our Head Office at Lakeside in Doncaster, but with flexible agile/hybrid working (2-3 days a week in the office). The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and control of the Corporate Reporting and Accounting compliance activities of the Keepmoat Group.

Key accountabilities will include the production of the statutory accounts for all Group entities, providing financial accounting support and input, ensuring our management reporting information produced using consolidation tools is reconciled with and consistent with our audited annual accounts. The postholder will also support all periodic and ad‑hoc lender reporting processes including preparation of figures for quarterly bond reporting, quarterly and annual covenant reporting.

There is also opportunity to support in the process of working towards PLC readiness in quality of glossy annual report and other accounts – including processes, timetable, and content of reporting.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified accountant, ideally someone looking for their first move into industry, who embodies our Keepmoat values; a straightforward communicator at all levels, who can translate financial information to a variety of different stakeholders. They will be creative with the ability to think strategically, and to work under pressure to deadlines. They will be passionate about presenting accurate and timely financial information to enable the business to achieve its targets.

They will be collaborative with the ability to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

They will have experience of financial reporting and application of IFRS/FRS
101 Accounting Standards and large company/complex group financial reporting, along with demonstrable experience of producing/auditing group consolidations. “Big 4” experience would be an advantage. Experience in a similar role within House building is highly desirable but not essential, as is experience leading a finance team.

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA).
  • Excellent academic record.
