Semi Senior Accountant

A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Doncaster is looking to bring a Semi Senior Accountant into the team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has built a solid foundation in practice and is now looking for a role where they can continue developing their technical knowledge, take on more responsibility and work closely with a varied portfolio of clients.

You will be working across a mixture of accounts, tax and general practice work, supporting clients from a range of sectors and helping them with their day-to-day accounting requirements. You will have plenty of client contact and the opportunity to develop your skills across a broad range of work rather than being restricted to one area.

This role would suit an experienced Accounts Assistant or Semi Senior Accountant who is either AAT qualified, studying towards ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience. You will ideally have previous experience within an accountancy practice and be looking for the next step in your career.

• Preparing year-end accounts for a range of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Liaising directly with clients and dealing with queries
• Assisting with bookkeeping and management accounts where required
• Working closely with the wider accounts team to ensure deadlines are met
• Developing your technical knowledge across accounts and tax

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice
• An experienced Accounts Assistant or current Semi Senior Accountant
• AAT finalist or qualified, studying towards ACCA/ACA or qualified by experience
• Comfortable working across a varied client portfolio
• Strong communication skills and confident dealing with clients

• Salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
