Reporting to the Head of Airworthiness, the DOA technical coordinator is a post which resides in the Design Organisation. The function is to support the maintenance and administration of the various approvals held by the design organisation for the design changes/repairs it undertakes.

The role’s key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Maintaining the design change register, especially for permits to fly and SDR
  • Status chasing of SDRs and audit findings
  • Arranging permit-to-fly payments
  • Drafting for review by the of Airworthiness
    • staff authrisations, competence assessments
    • administrative amendments to the DOH and other manuals
    • template updates
    • DOA/POA, DOA/MOA, DOA/CAMO arrangements
  • Registering and monitoring the validity of:
    • Staff authrisations
    • Arrangements
  • Monitoring the company inbox for reported airworthiness issues
  • Administration of the Design SMS on behalf of the Safety Manager
  • Administration of the Office of Airworthiness Monthly Meeting
  • Preparation of the Design KPIs for the AS9100 approval
  • Setting up design change folders
  • Setting up design change documents
  • Compiling MDLs
  • Administration and updating of design change trackers
  • Updating of drawing trees
  • Data Configuration and Control, including transmission of data to appropriate parties
  • Monitoring & Filing of Regulatory Documents, such as CAA, DAOS, etc
  • General administrative duties
The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge, and experience
  • Very well organised and methodical.
  • Experience in other administrative roles.
  • Excellent skills at Microsoft word including use of styles, cross referencing and bookmarks.
  • Desirable – experience in an aviation environment.
