Operations Supervisor – Doncaster

Salary: £35k – £42k (DOE) plus a company vehicle for commercial use.

Hours:

40 hours per week, with varying start and end times. The role may include occasional evening, weekend and Bank Holiday work; time off in lieu or overtime payable at the company’s discretion. Occasional work at other UK or Polish locations may be required.

Our client, a leading European provider of analytical testing services, is expanding in Doncaster and requires a seasoned Materials Testing, Geotechnical, CMT Field, Asphalt or Soils & Concrete Technician to serve as a Site Services Operations Supervisor. The candidate will oversee site and laboratory procedures, drive operational efficiency, and support the team towards UKAS accreditation.

• Drive site services in Doncaster and possible future locations, managing equipment and staff training.
• Continuous improvement of operational efficiencies and client deliverables, including turnaround times.
• Maintain Health and Safety, Quality, Technical and commercial standards.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service.
• Undertake checking and reporting as per ISO 17025.
• Develop and mentor the Site Services team, organising training as required.
• Promote a company culture that encourages high performance and morale.
• Track legal and regulatory documents and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.

• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience in Geotechnical or ground materials testing.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong customer‑facing communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within a quality system.
• Positive attitude and adaptability to new systems and procedures.

• Salary: up to £42,000 per annum depending on skills, abilities and experience.
