We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Capital Projects Unit (CPU) and support the delivery of a wide range of minor and major capital programmes for DBTH.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head of Capital Infrastructure in delivering a Customer focused Capital Project Service that meets the Trust’s Capital Programme needs.
  • Co‑ordinate with the Director of Infrastructure and the Head of Capital Infrastructure to develop and execute strategic plans for the short and medium‑term period.
  • Provide professional advice on how capital developments affect the Trust’s ability to meet clinical needs, ensuring time, cost and quality standards are met.
  • Work with the wider estates team to deliver projects compliant with legislation, HTMs, HBNs and other regulatory requirements, utilising specialist advice (AP/AEs) and design consultants.
  • Manage and deliver a high‑quality, cost‑effective Project Management service, applying technical and managerial expertise to lead projects in line with the Trust’s values, policies, business plan and financial guidance.
  • Support the strategic aims of the Trust by delivering minor and major capital projects, including site rationalisation, environmental improvement, ward upgrade, statutory compliance and backlog‑reduction initiatives.
  • Serve as a specialist in construction and built‑environment related projects, providing an in‑house project management service from inception to commissioning.
Qualifications
  • Engineering or construction related qualification (e.g., civil, mechanical, electrical).
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary capital projects within a healthcare or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of NHS procurement, legislation and capital planning frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
