The Role

As a Design Manager, you’ll:

Lead and manage the full design process from bid to delivery, ensuring projects meet technical, commercial, and client requirements.

Oversee design resources and coordinate design teams, suppliers, and partners to meet project goals.

Drive innovation and continuous improvement, challenging briefs where needed to achieve the best outcomes.

Ensure compliance with departmental procedures, RIBA stages, legislation, and industry standards.

Manage design within budget constraints while fully incorporating customer requirements.

Chair and coordinate design reviews, ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders.

About You

We’re looking for a proven Design Manager who can hit the ground running.

You will have:

Strong knowledge of construction design and techniques.

HNC/HND/BSc in Design Management, Construction, or related discipline, and/or CIOB membership.

Main contracting experience delivering projects between £5m and £40m.

Experience in pre-construction (PSCA) and BIM.

The ability to lead teams, mentor colleagues, and foster collaborative working relationships.
