Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, dedicated and flexible Earthworks Technician to join our UKAS accredited Materials team. The role involves determining the physical properties of a wide range of materials including concrete, earthworks, aggregates and bituminous mixtures to ensure compliance with specifications.

The tasks you will undertake include:

  • Working on busy earthworks projects performing in‑situ testing, as well as carrying out testing in the laboratory when not on site.
  • Sampling and scheduling of materials for submission to the laboratory.
  • Training colleagues to improve their knowledge and enhance the capabilities of the team.
  • Managing time effectively to ensure on‑site attendance as required.
  • Filling in all worksheets comprehensively.
  • Reading and understanding earthworks specifications.
  • Communicating with managers and clients.
  • Working to the relevant standards for all tests performed.
Qualifications
  • CSCS preferable but not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence.
