Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a motivated Ophthalmologist to take up the position of Specialty Doctor within Ophthalmology. This is an important post within the department and we are hoping to recruit an innovative and committed individual.

This is a new post and the post-holder will continue to further develop the hospital’s Ophthalmology Service.

You will be a highly valued member of the team bringing your expertise and skills to a busy Ophthalmology department. The post will provide an opportunity to improve and develop our already established 大发快 ophthalmology service.

The service is provided across three sites – Doncaster Royal Infirmary, Montagu Hospital in Mexborough and Bassetlaw Hospital.

Main duties of the job
  • The successful applicant will work innovatively with our clinical team and a range of partners to research, design and deliver within the Ophthalmology Service. Key partners will be the Trust A&E Departments, Optometrists, GP nurses and managers within the Integrated Care Board.
  • Ophthalmology has departments and theatres at three Trust sites; split-site working within the same day will be avoided where possible. Your individual job plan will be reviewed and agreed annually.
  • Secretarial support is provided at Bassetlaw Hospital, Montagu Hospital and Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
  • The successful candidate will be supported in developing their sub‑specialty interest and will have continuing responsibility for the care of patients in their charge, working closely with consultant colleagues for the 克 proper functioning of the department.
