Overview:
We are advertising on behalf of a Primary School in Doncaster for two temporary Year 1 Teaching Assistant positions. Both roles offer the opportunity to support learning in a friendly, nurturing environment and make a positive impact on children’s development during the early stages of Key Stage 1.

Post 1

* Hours:

27.5 hours per week

* Days/Times:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:00pm

* Contract Dates: 5th January – 12th February 2026

Post 2

* Hours:

35 hours per week

* Days/Times:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm

* Contract Dates: 18th & 19th December 2025 and 5th January – 12th February 2026

Role Responsibilities:

* Support teaching and learning within Year 1 classrooms.

* Assist in planning and delivering activities that meet the needs of all pupils.

* Encourage children’s social, emotional, and academic development.

* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.

Requirements:

* Experience working with primary-aged children, preferably in KS1.

* Understanding of the needs of young learners and the ability to provide effective support.

* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

* A positive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach to working with children.
