Are you a creative and innovative Design Technology Teacher ready to inspire students and help them bring their ideas to life?

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join schools in the Tickhill (DN11) area. This is an exciting opportunity to engage students in practical and theoretical aspects of DT, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills across a variety of projects.

Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in areas such as Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, or Engineering.
• Develop students’ practical skills while reinforcing health and safety in the workshop.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level assessments, ensuring they achieve their academic targets.
• Inspire creativity and innovative thinking in a supportive learning environment.
• Monitor, assess, and report on student progress.
• Contribute to the wider school community and extracurricular activities where appropriate.

Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach DT across Key Stages is desirable.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to fostering a safe and productive environment for practical work.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
