Unique School Solutions are working with a specialist school in Doncaster who require an experienced, skilled, and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to work in lower Key Stage 3, supporting approx 14 students with SEND needs.

The school is an inclusive, warm and welcoming environment which provides specialist educational opportunities to pupils with Moderate Learning Disabilities including Autism, Global Delay and Speech and Language needs. The students will require different and alternative strategies for learning using a range of teaching strategies. Therefore, previous experience supporting SEND learners within a school is essential.

The role:

* Working with approx 14 students with a range of needs, supporting them educationally and emotionally.

* Working alongside 3 other TA's under the direction of the class teacher.

Essential requirements for the role:

* Previous experience working with children with SEND, including but not limited to Autism, Global Delay, and Speech and Language needs. PLEASE NOTE this must have been within a school/college environment, and within the last 2 years.

* A good understanding of providing differentiated learning opportunities.

* A good level of physical fitness. This is a demanding role.

* Patience, empathy, and calmness.

* The ability to work under the direction of the class teacher as well as using own initiative.

* Personal care and Makaton experience are desirable but not essential.
