Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – KS1 & KS2
Location: DN4 Pay: £105 per day Contract: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
About the RoleWe are recruiting for two Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to support a well-established primary academy in the DN4 area. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, strong community relationships, and commitment to providing a stimulating, well-rounded curriculum across all year groups. With excellent facilities and a supportive senior leadership team, the school provides an environment where both pupils and staff thrive.
The successful candidates will support across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, delivering pre-planned lessons to whole classes during management and PPA time. You will also contribute to targeted intervention sessions, supporting pupils with additional needs or those who may be working below age-related expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver pre-planned lessons to KS1 and KS2 classes.
- Provide whole class cover during PPA and management time.
- Support pupils through small group and 1:1 intervention.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities.
- Maintain positive behaviour and contribute to a supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff.
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
. - Experience delivering lessons to whole primary-aged classes.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs is desirable.
