Looking for a Computer Studies Teacher in Doncaster!

Location: Doncaster

Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

As a Computer Studies Teacher
, you will help students develop the technical knowledge, digital fluency, and computational skills they need to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world. This is a rewarding opportunity for an educator who wants to make computing genuinely exciting and accessible for every learner in their classroom.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging Computer Studies lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, covering areas such as programming, data representation, networks, and online safety
  • Build students' computational thinking and logical problem-solving skills progressively throughout the year
  • Prepare pupils effectively for GCSE assessments and support their broader digital literacy
  • Assess student understanding regularly and provide targeted, constructive feedback
  • Tailor teaching methods to meet the needs of learners across the full ability range
  • Stay current with developments in technology and bring relevant, real-world context into lessons
  • Support departmental planning and contribute positively to the wider school community
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • A degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Experience teaching Computer Studies or Computing at secondary level is desirable
  • Strong subject knowledge across programming languages, hardware, software, and digital systems
  • The ability to break down complex concepts and make them accessible and engaging
  • A proactive, student-focused, and professional approach to the classroom
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to complete a new application)
