Are you confident supporting young people in a secondary school setting and helping them stay engaged in their learning? A range of supportive schools in Doncaster are seeking committed Teaching Assistants to join their teams and provide consistent classroom support across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant (Secondary), you will support students across a range of subjects, working alongside teaching staff to promote engagement, focus and positive learning behaviours. You may work with individuals or small groups, as well as provide general classroom support to help ensure lessons run smoothly and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers in delivering engaging and structured lessons
  • Work with individual students and small groups to support learning
  • Help maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
  • Encourage student participation and engagement in lessons
  • Support behaviour management in line with school policies
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
Requirements
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Calm, patient and professional approach
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Flexible and proactive attitude
