SEN Teacher - Doncaster

Are you a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher looking for flexible, temporary ongoing work in Doncaster?

Academics are working in partnership with a range of specialist provisions and SEN schools across Doncaster, who are seeking experienced SEN Teachers to support pupils with additional needs on a supply basis. There are also long-term opportunities available from September for the right candidates.

Position: SEN Teacher
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: 160 - 220 per day (paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees)
Start Date: ASAP or a start date that works for you

About the Role

As an SEN Teacher in Doncaster, you will work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, particularly SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder).

This SEN Teacher role in Doncaster will involve delivering tailored lessons, supporting emotional regulation, and creating a structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive.

Working across Doncaster SEN schools, you may take on short-term supply assignments or move into longer-term roles from September, depending on your availability and preference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
    Support pupils with SEMH and ASD within specialist settings
    Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
    Create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
    Work closely with support staff, SENCOs and leadership teams
    Monitor progress and adapt learning accordingly
    Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
    Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly SEMH and ASD
    Strong behaviour management and resilience
    Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
    Flexible and adaptable approach
    Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
