Job description

Your role

Educational Psychologists working for Doncaster Educational Psychology Service support the psychological and educational development and well‑being of children and young people aged 0‑25 with SEND. Core duties include:

  • Consultation, assessment, advice, training, research and whole‑school development.
  • Collaboration with schools, pre‑school providers, health and care agencies and other specialist services such as Autism, CAMHS, visual and hearing impairment teams and the Special Educational Needs team.
  • Developing and leading innovative, preventative and early intervention initiatives.
  • Providing peer supervision, CPD and participating in local and regional meetings.
Qualifications
  • Post‑graduate training in educational psychology or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Sound knowledge of research and practice relevant to children and young people’s development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Creative, flexible, reflective practice and a commitment to professional development.
