Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Doncaster

Salary: £460 – £600 per week

Contract Type: Full-time, long-term / Day-to-day

Start Date: Immediately

About the Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with additional needs across the classroom and in small group or 1:1 settings. You will work closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored support, helping pupils engage with learning, regulate emotions and develop essential academic and social skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils with SEN in classroom, small group and 1:1 settings
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering adapted learning activities
  • Help implement individual education and behaviour support plans
  • Encourage positive engagement and independence in learning
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and focus
  • Contribute to a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and development
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patient, calm and supportive approach
  • Ability to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
  • Reliable, proactive and committed attitude
  • Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
