Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Doncaster to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a September start. The OpportunityAs a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide tailored support for students who require additional help in the classroom. You’ll play a key role in helping students engage with learning, develop positive relationships, and build the confidence they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Your Responsibilities- Providing one-to-one and small group support across a range of subjects.
- Supporting students with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in lessons.
- Helping students develop independence, resilience, and self-confidence.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to implement support strategies.
- Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom where required.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to help them thrive.
- Experience working with young people in education, care, coaching, youth work, or similar settings.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Confidence supporting students with additional learning or behavioural needs.
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Experience supporting young people with:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Speech and Language Needs
- Behaviour Support Interventions
