Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Doncaster to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive school community where your work will have a genuine impact on students’ academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you’ll work closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide tailored support for students who require additional help in the classroom. You’ll play a key role in helping students engage with learning, develop positive relationships, and build the confidence they need to succeed both academically and personally.

This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to make a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

• Providing one-to-one and small group support across a range of subjects.
• Supporting students with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, and learning difficulties.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and participation in lessons.
• Helping students develop independence, resilience, and self-confidence.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and pastoral staff to implement support strategies.
• Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom where required.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils to help them thrive.

• Experience working with young people in education, care, coaching, youth work, or similar settings.
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Confidence supporting students with additional learning or behavioural needs.
• A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
