About the RoleGSL Education South Yorkshire are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant (Secondary) to work in a supportive secondary school in Doncaster. You will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, encourage student engagement, and help create a positive learning environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with their academic progress while contributing to their confidence and overall development.

Responsibilities- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
- Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in classroom activities.
- Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom organisation.
- Support students with additional learning needs where appropriate.
- Monitor student progress and communicate relevant information to teaching staff.
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
- A genuine commitment to supporting young people in education.
- Experience in a classroom or similar educational setting is advantageous.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and willingness to satisfy all background safe recruitment checks.

We are currently offering £100 for a successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants (Ts &Cs apply).
