Are you passionate about helping young people succeed and making a meaningful contribution to secondary education? A welcoming secondary school in Doncaster is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team.

GSL Education South Yorkshire are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant (Secondary) to work in a supportive secondary school in Doncaster. You will work closely with teachers to provide classroom support, encourage student engagement, and help create a positive learning environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with their academic progress while contributing to their confidence and overall development.

• Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to students.
• Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in classroom activities.
• Assist with preparing learning resources and classroom organisation.
• Support students with additional learning needs where appropriate.
• Monitor student progress and communicate relevant information to teaching staff.

• Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
• A genuine commitment to supporting young people in education.
• Experience in a classroom or similar educational setting is advantageous.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
• Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
• Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
• Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and willingness to satisfy all background safe recruitment checks.
