Overview

We are looking for Teaching Assistants to join our school in Doncaster. You will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible. As a TA, your day will be varied and interesting. You will support our teachers by assisting in the classrooms and the community for children who cannot attend school.

You will follow a flexible structure and support our children and young people to unlock their passion for learning. You will work within a Trauma-informed practice model where we can support and follow a therapeutic practice. Our leadership team will invest in your professional development in the Education sector. We source and deliver up-to-date training opportunities and prioritise and discuss your personal development goals to ensure you get the most out of your career.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers by assisting in the classrooms and the community for children who cannot attend school.
  • Follow a flexible structure and work with children and young people to unlock their passion for learning.
  • Work within a Trauma-informed practice model supporting and following therapeutic practice.
  • Apply to support a therapeutically based organisation and leading alternative education provision.
  • Commit to the dedication required in a setting where young people may have had many adults come in and out of their lives, often adding to their trauma.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Good written and IT skills.
  • Able to communicate with children, colleagues, and external customers.
  • Able to actively listen to others.
  • Valid Driving Licence - essential for this role.
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Experience working within a specialist education provision or a passion for making a difference.
  • Willingness to undergo appropriate child protection screening, including employment references and a DBS check.
