Salary: £460 - £600 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Primary), you will provide valuable classroom support across the school, working closely with teachers to help pupils engage with learning and achieve their full potential. You may support individuals, small groups or whole-class activities, adapting your approach to meet a range of learning needs while helping to create a positive and organised learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support teachers with the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils where required.
  • Assist with classroom organisation and learning resources.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and active participation in lessons.
  • Support pupils with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional support.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection; successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including providing an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
