Job Title: Supply Teacher
Location: Doncaster
Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time

Are you a qualified teacher looking for flexibility while continuing to make a positive impact in the classroom? We are seeking enthusiastic Supply Teachers to work in secondary schools across Doncaster from September 2026.

About the Role

As a Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across a range of subjects, ensuring students remain focused and continue to make progress during the absence of their usual teacher. You'll adapt quickly to different classroom environments, follow school policies and create a positive learning atmosphere wherever you work. GSL Education South Yorkshire is working closely with local secondary schools to provide rewarding opportunities for skilled and adaptable teachers.

You will work in a variety of welcoming secondary schools across Doncaster, each committed to providing a supportive learning environment with high expectations for both students and staff. Schools value professional, reliable teachers who can quickly build positive relationships and maintain high standards of classroom practice.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different learners.
  • Assess learning and provide feedback where required.
  • Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote student wellbeing.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching within a secondary school setting.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A flexible, professional approach and the ability to adapt to different school settings.
  • An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last two years.
