LT Selection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of an established training provider for a Fire & Security Tutor.

The role is suitable for experienced Fire and Security engineers looking to move into a Tutor / Learner Skills Coach position. The successful candidate will use their industry knowledge to train apprentices and commercial learners, supporting the next generation of engineers and wider sector upskilling.

Full-time, permanent

Salary: £38,000 - £48,000

• Deliver engaging, high-quality training to apprentices and commercial learners through classroom, practical and online delivery.
• Deliver regulated qualifications and technical training programmes aligned with industry standards.
• Provide guidance, feedback and support to help learners achieve their goals.
• Maintain compliance with Government funding rules, Ofsted expectations and awarding body requirements.
• Represent the organisation professionally when delivering commercial training to external clients and partners.
• Support learners and professionals to build successful careers in the fire and security sector.

• Strong practical experience in fire and security installation, commissioning and maintenance.
• Minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on industry experience.
• Ability to demonstrate and teach core industry skills with confidence.
• Willingness to complete fully funded teaching qualifications.
• Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight when required.
• Industry qualifications such as FIA, Fire Qual or Milestone Advanced would be advantageous.
• Experience supervising or teaching apprentices would be advantageous.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
