Computing Teacher

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Computing Teacher to join a secondary school in Doncaster on a full-time, temporary long-term supply basis starting in September. This role is to cover a long-term staff absence and will primarily involve teaching Computing across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some additional general cover responsibilities as required. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and attainment.
• Provide general classroom cover when required across other subject areas.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning within the classroom.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community and departmental activities.

Pre-requisites

• Relevant teaching qualifications (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Proven experience of teaching Computing within a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of the Computing curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Two education or school-based references.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate learners.
• Flexibility and confidence to provide general cover across additional subjects when required.
• An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
