Working closely with students and colleagues, you will create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment where learners are supported to achieve their full potential. • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across policing-related programmes.
• Assess student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and maintain accurate learner records.
• Support student achievement through effective progress monitoring, coaching and pastoral support.
• Contribute to curriculum development, learning resources and continuous quality improvement activities.
• Promote excellent standards of behaviour, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Participate in student recruitment activities, including open events, interviews and community engagement.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure programmes run effectively and efficiently.
• Support learners during enrichment activities, educational visits and other college events where appropriate.
• Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Contribute to the wider life of the college and support departmental targets and objectives.

• Relevant industry experience within policing, public services or a related sector.
• Appropriate teaching qualification, substantial industry experience, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Minimum Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
• Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and helping all learners achieve their potential.

• Salary of £33,787 to £42,766 per annum.
• Permanent position with 35.5 hours per week.
• 35 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas (pro rata where applicable).
• Teacher Pension Scheme with employer contributions.
• Funding and support to achieve a teaching qualification where required.
