Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment across policing-related programmes.
- Assess student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, and maintain accurate learner records.
- Support student achievement through effective progress monitoring, coaching and pastoral support.
- Contribute to curriculum development, learning resources and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Promote excellent standards of behaviour, safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in student recruitment activities, including open events, interviews and community engagement.
- Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure programmes run effectively and efficiently.
- Support learners during enrichment activities, educational visits and other college events where appropriate.
- Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the college and support departmental targets and objectives.
- Relevant industry experience within policing, public services or a related sector.
- Appropriate teaching qualification, substantial industry experience, or willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
- Minimum Level 2 English and Maths qualifications.
- Strong communication, organisational and administrative skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and helping all learners achieve their potential.
- Salary of £33,787 to £42,766 per annum.
- Permanent position with 35.5 hours per week.
- 35 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and two weeks at Christmas (pro rata where applicable).
- Teacher Pension Scheme with employer contributions.
- Funding and support to achieve a teaching qualification where required.
