Deaf Teaching Assistant
Location: Doncaster
Salary: £92.63–£100 per day, paid weekly via PAYE
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: Immediate Start / ASAP
We're working with a specialist setting that supports deaf and hearing-impaired pupils, helping them to access education, build confidence, and achieve their full potential. They're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deaf Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

What your days will look like- Supporting deaf and hearing-impaired pupils in lessons and throughout the school day
- Assisting with communication using British Sign Language (BSL), Sign Supported English (SSE), or other communication strategies where required
- Helping pupils access learning materials and classroom activities
- Working closely with teachers, speech and language professionals, and specialist staff
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development
- Promoting an inclusive learning environment where every pupil can thrive
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, hearing impairments, or additional needs
- Strong communication skills and a passion for inclusive education
- A team player who is committed to making a positive impact
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
- BSL Qualification (Level 1, 2, 3 or above) highly desirable
- Experience using British Sign Language in educational or support settings
- Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children and young people
- Relevant qualifications in Education, SEND, Support Work, Health & Social Care, or related fields are welcomed
- Candidates with lived experience within the deaf community are encouraged to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
