We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team here at Kirton Lane Primary School. The opportunity is to work within Key Stage 2, supporting pupils in their learning, development and wellbeing.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
The successful candidate will be:
- Working closely with class teachers and wider staff
- Helping to create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment
- Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing
- Forge positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents. Have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to develop excellent professional relationships with children, staff and parents.
- Understand that, like adults, all children are different and therefore have individual needs and every child has the right to succeed to the best of their ability.
- Will be expected to support pupils with their personal care needs, which may include intimate care such as changing nappies, assisting with toileting, and maintaining personal hygiene, in accordance with the school’s policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Identify and enact ways to support all children, particularly children with social and emotional needs.
- Demonstrate a shared commitment to raising standards in all that we do.
- Be open minded and committed to continually improve their practice.
- Be an enthusiastic team player with the ability to also work individually using their own initiative.
- Be committed to inclusion and equality of opportunity.
