Educational Psychologists work to support the local authority and schools/settings in meeting the needs of children and young people aged 0-25 with SEND as well as supporting the development of inclusive and high-quality education for all learners.

We are looking for three professionally qualified Educational Psychologist/Year 3 or Y2 Trainee Educational Psychologist to join our friendly, supportive and well-regarded service.

We work with children, parents, schools, pre-school providers, other education settings and health and care agencies to apply the principles of the SEN Code of Practice to help children and young people to improve their learning and to achieve the best they can in life and promote the inclusion of all children and young people in the life of their school and in the local community.

As a service, we are non-traded and we have a strong commitment to support educational settings within Doncaster to celebrate diversity and ensure all children and young people fulfil their potential in their education.

Educational Psychologists working for Doncaster Educational Psychology Service are encouraged to further their development as applied psychologists in their work to support the psychological and educational development and well-being of children and young people across the borough. The work involves a full range of tasks including consultation, assessment, advice, training, research and whole school development.

There is a strong culture of collaborative working, both within the service and the local area, and we regularly work alongside other services such as the Autism and Social Communication Education and Training Services, Behaviour Outreach Service, CAMHS locality, Visual and Hearing Impairment team and the Special Educational Needs team. There continues to be exciting opportunities to develop the work of the service, innovation and creativity is encouraged.
