Role: SEN Teaching Assistant / 1:1 Support

Provide Education are currently recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the DN12 area, starting tomorrow.

The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with SEND, helping them to access learning, engage positively within the classroom and develop their confidence and independence.

The child has Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), so the school is looking for someone who is calm, patient, nurturing and able to adapt their approach to meet the child's individual needs.

• Has experience supporting children with SEND
• Ideally has experience working with children with ASD and/or PDA
• Is patient, calm and understanding
• Can build positive and trusting relationships with children
• Is confident adapting their approach to suit individual needs
• Can support positive behaviour and engagement
• Is reliable, committed and able to work as part of a school team

As part of our registration process, you'll need an enhanced DBS check and we'll need to see and copy your original qualifications before any placement. Teaching roles require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
