Mobile Commercial Vehicle Technician – Product Support Team

Gray & Adams has an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our Product Support Team based in Doncaster.
As the UK market leader in specialist temperature‑controlled and bespoke vehicles, we are looking for a skilled and customer‑focused technician to provide hands‑on support to our established customer base across the UK. Although based from our Doncaster facility, this is a mobile, on‑the‑road position
, involving travel to customer sites to carry out a range of repair, maintenance and service tasks.
This is a key support role within our existing team, helping to ensure excellent levels of product support are consistently maintained. As a customer‑facing representative of Gray & Adams, you will have strong communication and organisational skills to be able to work efficiently with customers, service agents, suppliers and internal teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing faults and supporting the resolution of customer breakdowns and operational issues
- Providing customers and internal teams with regular and clear updates on open cases
- Liaising with internal departments and external sources to ensure efficient resolution of cases
- Providing operational and product training to customers and end users
Due to the mobile nature of this role, a full UK driving licence is essential.
What We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience repairing, maintaining or servicing commercial vehicles and trailers
- Has a working knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems; (specific, relevant training will also be provided)
- Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Can manage multiple tasks and work accurately under pressure
- Has a proactive and positive attitude with strong attention to detail
Is ideally a member of the Institute of Road Transport Engineers and an IRTEC licence holder; however, full consideration will also be given to candidates with demonstrable experience in a relevant field
- Full‑time position based at Doncaster
- Dedicated, fully equipped service vehicle provided
- 41 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, plus out‑of‑hours cover and remote support as required
