We also offer an extensive archive of geotechnical records to support early engagement with customers and stakeholders throughout appraisal and planning.

We are currently looking for a Works Manager – Extended Offerings to join us in Doncaster who will support the establishment and growth of a dedicated civils delivery function within the Cementation Operating Unit.

As the Works Manager – Extended Offerings, you will:

• Ensure all operations are delivered in line with Skanska’s safety policies, culture and Project requirements in a safe manner with all documentation / governance and control requirements in place.
• Input into build methodology, temporary works requirements, and planning logistics to ensure safety and the programme is met. Review complex RAMS as required.
• Carry out regular safety and environmental inspections and implement recommended courses of action as identified from progress monitoring and management inspections.
• Attend and contribute to HSP
  04 prestart meetings for subcontract works that they control as part of the delivery of structural works
• Ensure the coordination of and communication between all parts of the operation teams including Suppliers, Contractors, Engineering, Safety and Environmental team and Clients’ team.
• Collaborate with others to plan the logistics, programme, plant and materials of your works to minimise health and safety hazards.
• Work with supply chain partners to ensure a lean, efficient delivery of the structures to ensure good commercial outcomes for the supply chain and Skanska by delivering structures to programme and within budget.
• Manage General Foreman, Foreman, Contractors and direct workforce in line with project requirements.

We are looking for:

• Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and common construction methodologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of temporary works processes, design and management.
• Knowledge and understanding of construction contracts (through experience and formal training). Ideally, ECC NEC

• Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS)
• CSCS Card
