Lead Maintenance Engineer​/Engineering Team Leader

Position: Lead Maintenance Engineer / Engineering Team Leader
Senior mechanical engineer or electrical technician required to lead a team of maintenance engineers in large scale recycling operations

Hours:

some flexibility - 42 hrs p/w, mon-fri between 6am / 6pm + call out rota

Starting salary: £45,208 + £1,500 travel allowance, £2,275 call out allowance, benefits, enhanced overtime

Location:

working across 3 sites within a 12-mile radius of carcroft (central point)

You will have experience as a: maintenance supervisor, senior mechanical engineer, electrical engineering team leader, lead mechanical engineer, maintenance team leader, mechanical engineering supervisor, lead maintenance technician, lead electrical engineer

You may have worked on large plant equipment in: plant hire, waste management, quarrying, metal recycling, skip hire, heavy industry, fmcg, production

Role: lead maintenance engineer / engineering team leader

You will oversee and work in a team undertaking mechanical and electrical repairs to recycling equipment, conveyor systems

You will be an interface between the shop floor and the management team

You will allocate jobs and report work using the cmms system

You will lead the team to minimise plant downtime

You will mentor new staff and apprentices

You will oversee contractors making sure they are working with appropriate permits

Experience:

lead maintenance engineer / engineering team leader

You will be time served, and have nvq3 or higher in a mechanical or electrical discipline

You will either have extensive experience in engineering and be looking for a step up or have had line management responsibility for maintenance engineers

You will have worked on large production / manufacturing equipment or capital plant equipment such as balers, compactors, shredders, crushers, trommels, screeners, conveyor systems
