Clean Power Hydrogen plc (CPH2), a fast‑growing green energy technology company listed on AIM, is expanding its Operations team and seeking a Quality Manager to support the manufacturing of its Membrane‑Free Electrolysers™.

About CPH2

Founded in 2012, CPH2 develops Membrane‑Free Electrolysers™ that produce green hydrogen and oxygen safely, sustainably, and cost‑effectively. The company operates in a rapidly growing clean‑tech sector and promotes staff development and progression.

Role Overview

Reporting to the Chief Operations Director, the Quality Manager will own and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet UK and international standards. The role supports quality across design, manufacturing, procurement, assembly, and commissioning of hydrogen process equipment. It requires a hands‑on engineer comfortable working directly with technical teams and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and improve the QMS (ISO 9001, hydrogen/pressure equipment standards).
  • Lead audits, root‑cause analysis, CAPA, and process improvements.
  • Oversee QA/QC for materials, fabrication, assembly, and commissioning.
  • Create and manage inspection/test plans and quality documentation.
  • Assess and audit suppliers, ensuring materials meet specifications.
  • Manage project quality requirements, risks, and non‑conformances.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
  • Lead and develop Quality and Engineering support teams.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years as Quality Manager or similar in manufacturing/assembly/automotive.
  • Engineering or quality‑related degree/HNC/HND.
  • Strong hands‑on background as a Quality Engineer.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001, Lean/Six Sigma, and regulated industries.
  • Experience in supplier quality, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of UKCA/CE, NDT, pressure vessels, hydrogen systems, and electrical components.
  • Background in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering.
