As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably through a combination of planned and reactive maintenance activities. Key duties include:
Diagnosing equipment faults and restoring production machinery efficiently to minimise downtime Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs Implementing engineering improvements identified through audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with site health & safety, environmental, and hygiene standards Maintaining accurate maintenance records, including completed work and spare parts usage Supporting effective spare parts management and stock control processes Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams to maximise plant performance Providing clear handovers between shifts to ensure continuity of work Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with site procedures and safe systems of work Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within engineering work areas Engineer Requirements:
We are interested in speaking with Maintenance Engineers from fast-paced manufacturing environments, including: FMCG Food Manufacturing Packaging Plastics Automotive Chemical Pharmaceutical To be successful, you should have: A recognised engineering apprenticeship or formal engineering qualification NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Multi-Skilled Engineering A minimum of 3 years' maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems Experience working within high-volume, fast-moving production environments The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
