• Undertake design procurement and supervision of a wide range of highway schemes, including carriageway resurfacing, active travel schemes, public realm and major improvement schemes.
• Arrange and conduct topographical and other surveys.
• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs.
• Develop Bills of Quantities and contract documents.
• Act as the Designer in accordance with the 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Manage procurement activities, including tender documentation, bid evaluation and support for contract awards.
• Supervise work, conduct measurements and valuations.

• Proficient in highway design using design guides such as DMRB, LTN1/20 and the Manual for Streets.
• Experience with industry software, notably AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Ability to manage projects from feasibility through detailed design to procurement.
• Experience in procurement activities, including preparing tender documentation and evaluating bids.
• Strong on‑site involvement with site supervision, measurements and valuations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Transferable skills from other roles or voluntary work are welcomed.
