The Role:We are seeking a dynamic and hands‑on Project Manager / Engineer to take ownership of projects from cradle to grave. Based within a 50-mile radius of Doncaster, you will play a key role in managing the full project lifecycle, from initial customer engagement to final delivery and installation on‑site.
Projects typically range from £2,000 to £1 million, with larger projects requiring in‑depth involvement over 3+ months. You will be the central point of contact for customers, internal design teams, and external suppliers/subcontractors, ensuring seamless coordination and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Full end‑to‑end project management of capital equipment projects
- Liaise directly with customers, both remotely and on‑site, to understand requirements and manage expectations
- Work closely with the internal design team on bespoke solutions; involvement in CAD design (2D/3D) is advantageous
- Estimate project costs and create detailed technical/commercial proposals
- Coordinate with and manage subcontractors and third‑party suppliers
- Monitor timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high standards of quality and service
- Maintain clear documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle
- Strong engineering background, ideally in mechanical or process engineering
- Proven experience managing capital equipment projects (In food processing , beverage, liquids/drinks industry)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret and contribute to engineering drawings (CAD skills in 2D/3D beneficial)
- Experience with cost estimation, budgeting, and proposal generation
- Comfortable working in a customer‑facing, hands‑on role
- Valid UK driving licence (company vehicle provided)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (dependent on experience)
25 days annual holiday + Bank Holidays
