Job Description

The role of Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer within the FMCG sector involves maintaining and improving equipment to ensure smooth production processes.

The business is a well-established manufacturer supplying high-quality products into major consumer markets, operating from a modern, well-invested site in South Yorkshire.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all tasks.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Contribute to TPM activities, root cause analysis, and equipment upgrades

A successful Multiskilled Engineer should have:

• A recognised qualification in engineering, such as mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics.
• Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance technician within FMCG or high-volume manufacturing
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical and mechanical systems
• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Relevant electrical qualification - desirable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
• Safety-conscious, proactive, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team

• Salary is circa £46,400 per annum.
