Location:
Doncaster
Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 + Profit Share Bonus
Hours:
8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (flexible)
Overtime:
Available
Questech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Doncaster.
The Role
Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown maintenance, ensuring production machinery remains safe, reliable and operational.
Key Duties
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
* Mechanical fault-finding and repairs across production machinery.
* Maintain and repair extrusion machines, mixers, heaters and winders.
* Maintain shafts, bearings, gearboxes and other mechanical components.
* Fault-find and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults quickly to minimise production downtime.
* Identify recurring faults and support continuous improvement.
* Work safely and follow all relevant company procedures.
About You
* Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
* Experience with rotating machinery, bearings, shafts and gearboxes.
* Good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
* Proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications are desirable
