Company Accountant - Doncaster - up to £50,000

Chase & Holland are thrilled to be supporting an established and growing international SME business who is seeking a hands‑on Company Accountant to join its finance team based in Doncaster. This is a practical, ownership‑focused role working closely with the Finance Director, with responsibility for UK finance operations and exposure to international group activity.

This opportunity would suit a qualified by experience, part‑qualified, or fully qualified accountant who enjoys being close to the detail while contributing to a growing business.

• End‑to‑end UK finance operations including sales, purchase ledger, expenses, and banking
• Processing purchase invoices, employee expenses, and company credit card transactions
• Managing supplier and customer finance queries
• Daily bank postings and reconciliations
• Credit control, customer statements, and supplier payment runs
• Month‑end journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and capital expenditure tracking
• Reconciliation of e‑commerce / marketplace sales, fees, and payouts
• Stock reconciliations and WIP accruals
• Preparation of UK monthly management accounts
• VAT returns and support with statutory reporting
• Intercompany reconciliations and support for overseas group entities

• Experience with ERP systems
• E‑commerce / Amazon accounting experience
• Strong hands‑on experience in a finance role within an SME or multi‑entity environment
• Qualified by experience, part‑qualified, or fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of transactional accounting and month‑end processes
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Confident taking ownership of processes and working closely with senior stakeholders
