Development Management Team Leader needed in Doncaster Paying £227.34 per day B 4AD3 / 1

Full time on a temporary basis

• Lead the operational delivery of Development Management services, overseeing workloads, service performance and compliance with planning legislation and policy requirements.
• Manage a caseload of major, strategic and complex planning applications, including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Review and sign off planning applications, reports and recommendations, ensuring high-quality and consistent decision-making.
• Provide expert technical advice and guidance on planning policy, legislation and complex development proposals.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with applicants, developers, consultants and key stakeholders, representing the service at meetings and public forums as required.
• Monitor performance, quality standards and statutory timescales, supporting continuous service improvement and implementation of legislative and policy changes.
• Contribute to risk management, governance and best practice, ensuring planning processes are robust, efficient and customer-focused.
• Support strategic planning objectives through expert input on major developments, policy interpretation and operational planning matters.
