Get Doncaster Moving is our whole systems approach to tackling inactivity, testing innovative, evidence-based solutions with Sport England to reduce physical inactivity levels in Doncaster. Through this partnership our approach is recognised locally and nationally as a leader in whole-system approaches to movement, Physical Activity and Sport, sharing learning and supporting organisations and local authorities across England.

The GDM team leads on a range of themed work areas, such as Health and Care, Active Communities, Parks and Open Spaces, Active Travel, Children and Young People and Community Sport. Our iterative and flexible approach allows us to respond quickly to new and emerging opportunities, meaning the scope of our work adapts to what is required.

In this role you will deepen our work across the health and care system, identifying opportunities to ensure movement, physical activity and sport are a fundamental tool used to support wellbeing. You will also manage our partnerships across system providers, alongside overseeing and co‑managing the Talking Therapies Trailblazer with RDS NHS Foundation Trust.

We empower the post holder to identify new opportunities for collaboration and develop and grow opportunities through a test‑and‑learn approach.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, with knowledge of the healthcare sector and a passion for the benefits of movement, physical activity and sport. You will be organised, creative, confident, and recent graduates are welcome.
