Job Summary

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and inspiring Gynaecology Outpatient Manager who shares our values & vision for the future. We are looking for a transformational leader to join us as the Manager of our Gynaecology Outpatient Clinics across both the Doncaster and Bassetlaw sites. In this key leadership position, you will not only provide effective managerial oversight to outpatient services but also inspire excellence within the wider team.

Leading a dedicated group of professionals, you will ensure that every patient receives the highest standard of care in line with local and national guidance. You will support the team to focus on delivering quality patient care and experience, playing a vital role in shaping best practice to enhance patient outcomes. Your commitment to serving as a role model will empower your team and foster an environment where nursing expertise and specialised knowledge thrive.

Your expertise will guide the team in navigating the complexities of Outpatient care, enabling them to deliver timely and compassionate support to patients during their most critical moments, creating an environment where the patient is central to all decision making and the delivery of high quality compassionate care is every body's prime objective. Have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the gynaecology outpatient department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective managerial oversight to outpatient services.
  • Lead a dedicated group of professionals ensuring the highest standard of care.
  • Support the team to focus on delivering quality patient care and experience.
  • Shape best practice to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Serve as a role model, empowering the team and fostering nursing expertise.
  • Guide the team in navigating the complexities of outpatient care.
  • Enable timely and compassionate support to patients during critical moments.
  • Create an environment where the patient is central to decision making.
  • Act as an expert resource to the clinic team and wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Ensure all staff work in a professional manner and registered staff are accountable practitioners.
  • Inspire, motivate and empower others through effective clinical leadership and role modelling.
  • Be highly visible and maintain an accessible approach for patients, their relatives/carers and staff.
  • Manage the clinical, managerial and educational requirements of the gynaecology outpatient department.

Monday to Friday within core hours (8am-6pm) – this may vary and be subject to review depending on service needs. This is a senior nursing role within the organisation and the post holder is expected to fully participate in the clinical and professional leadership within the organisation.

Employment Checks & Conditions

All employment with the Trust is subject to a number of NHS Employment Checks being met to a satisfactory standard, including verification of identity, eligibility to work in the United Kingdom, references and qualifications, professional registration, a disclosure and barring records check and occupational health check if deemed required. The Trust passes the charge for undertaking a DBS check on to candidates in the event of successful appointment, with the check to be charged in two instalments upon commencement of employment with Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
