Clinical Receptionist & Booking Clerk - Medical Imaging

A flexible approach to work is an essential part of the post, in line with Medical Imaging Service Policy of promoting the extended working day / week to benefit our patients.

The Radiology Department is fully committed to effective appraisal and any training and development will be actively encouraged and supported.

Working with a team of highly committed staff, to provide a first class and effective reception and booking service within medical Imaging (Radiology).

This position is offered on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

Main duties of the job
  • Provide administrative/reception service support to facilitate the patient pathway.
  • Work flexibly across services to provide a booking service, process clinic changes, call centre cover, processing of referrals and undertake a range of general admin tasks.
  • Build and maintain close working relationships across the clinical administrative teams, using Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure functions of the role are carried out correctly and within given timescales.
  • Ensure accurate data recording using the Patient Administration System (PAS) and E-referral and other systems; and via the use of Patient Tracking Lists (PTLs) book outpatient/inpatient events in accordance with clinical instruction and national/local waiting time target dates.
