The closing date is 27 February 2026

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of people within your community? If so, we are looking for people with or without experience in care to join our busy hospital to care for our patients.

We will teach you everything you need to know and all we ask is that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support our patients by providing exceptional care. You'll not be doing this alone, you will join one of our dynamic and caring teams. You will work alongside many colleagues which include Healthcare Support workers & registered Nurses to name a few.

Our Care Support Workers provide some of the most personal and fundamental support to our patients so if you feel the above is you then we want to hear from you.

This post will be based in the Haemodialysis unit at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Please note, sponsorship is not available for this role.

Main duties of the job

You will work alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide a positive experience to our patients and their relatives at times of need. You will support patients in various ways such as:

  • Bed making
  • Helping people to mobilise
  • Assisting with patients' overall comfort
  • Providing encouragement to lifestyle and behaviour changes
  • Replenishing stock supplies

You will be expected to help patients with personal care without being embarrassed or feeling awkward. You will need to be able to communicate sympathetically with patients, and distressed relatives, and care for patients who are very sick.
